First of all Download MDT 2013

Deploy windows operating system using Microsoft Deployment toolkit

Next after installation we can deploy operating system using MDT , After MDT configuration we just have to import operating system and update deployment share then we deploy supported operating system using Microsoft deployment toolkit, Microsoft deployment toolkit support window 7, windows 8, window 8.1 OS etc.

Creating Partitions when deploying OS

When we deploy OS by default MDT create only one partition we can change it by editing tasksequence we can create partitions as many we want and when we deploy OS our OS deployment is with more partitions.

Refresh operating system

We can also refresh our operating system with MDT refreshing operating system means re-install operating system with backup with MDT all is automated tasksequense can take backup first then install OS then restore all backup automatically

Customize Microsoft Deployment Toolkit

We can also customize Microsoft deployment toolkit like we can change background wallpaper which we see at the time of lite touch deployments we can also change default IT Organization which we see at the time of deployment we add any name at the place of default organization for more details see article on MDT customization.

We can also automate our Microsoft deployment wizard by tweaking two file name CustomSettings.ini and Bootstrap.ini we can skip unwanted pages which we see at the time of lite touch deployment and make our LTI easy.

    How to set a custome image version in windows 8.1 image so we can get report in SCCM about custom image version.
