How to install DHCP Server on 2008 step By step guide

In previous post we will discuss on how to install active directory on server 2008 , I am using same server for dhcp server installation Server name is DC & IP address is 192.168.0.6
First step for installing DHCP Server on Server 2008 open server manager.
Click on add role for installing DHCP server role.
Then Click next
Select DHCP Server roles from given roles and click next.
Simple Click next for the next step.
Here you can see your IP address & network adapter details click next.
In this screen you can see IPv4 DNS Server settings click on validate after validation click next.
Wins server settings leave it as default & click on next.
Then click on Add to add DHCP scope then type scope name, starting IP address, ending IP address, subnet mask, default gateway it’s optional here I am taking my server IP address is as a default gateway, if you have default gateway IP then type it or leave it, then click on Activate this scope then ok.
You can see your scope details then click next.
Click on disable DHCPv6 stateless mode for this server as we don’t using IPv6 on this server, Click Next.
Leave it as default or change user credentials click next.
Confirm Installation selections here you can see your DHCP Server details then click install.
DHCP server is installing on server 2008.
When DHCP server installation complete you will got message DHCP Server Installation succeeded click on close.
DHCP Server on server 2008 installation is complete you can open it from Administrative Tools then DHCP.
DHCP server is installed you can see IP address range for DHCP server in address pool.
